SOMETHING DIFFERENT

On a recent trip to South Florida with my wife, Lisa, I was able to experience something most sportsmen never knew existed, including myself! One evening at the local watering hole, we met one of the area’s spear fishermen, named Paul. Being a sportsman, I was very intrigued with his profession. Paul told me stories of free diving 70 to 90 feet to pursue the various kinds of grouper and snapper the market preferred. I had to decline Paul’s offer to go with him ...

I talked to dozens of people tonight at Bass Pro who said they only use IR cameras because the flash spooks bucks?

THE REALITY OF MICHIGAN QDM

I’ll never forget my very first opening day of deer season. I was hunting state land in northern Michigan that my grandfather and father had hunted for the last 50 years. My father placed me on a fallen log next to an old dilapidated horse barn which was erected around the turn of the century. I could cut the excitement in the air because it seemed as though I had been waiting most of my life for that day . . . I was all of fourteen.

These two bucks Have a long history with me. I've watched them grow for the last three years. Some how they have made it through the grid of hunters in the area. The funny thing is that The other guys don't have a clue, and I'm not talking! I cant wait to see how much they gain this year.

It is a leak proof, airtight scent disposal system unlike any on the market. Its design allows the hunter to use their favorite scent without the normal mess hunters are accustom to. This is the only unit that was designed to be thrown from a hunters shot location. Proofs in the pictures so log onto www.bigbuckballz.com

REFLECTIONS ON PAST SEASONS

Year after year, I’ve sat in my stand for hours on end, inevitably wondering what draws me to the woods each fall. The answer’s always the same. Something in nature happens that only a hunter could understand.

I cope with the long cold days by watching young bucks and realize that, if allowed to age, they will turn into something every hunter would love to face each fall. I believe that hunters today are so pressured to shoot a buck that they don’t ...

Last week I was down in the Florida Keys with my wife Lisa. I met a local spear fisherman and asked him if there was anything that could be hunted down there. Paul told me that the only animals which could be hunted were Iguanas (an invasive species brought in from the Bahamas by hurricane George in 1985). You know me, I borrowed a pellet rifle and spent the next two days looking for an exceptional lizard. I ended up shooting one much larger than average.
