Probably should have started this a little earlier.

Yesterday when I got off the phone with Barb I was finishing up shooting my bow and looked in the field and had 5 bucks pretty close to the house. Got my binos to get a closer look. 3 shooters and 2 up and comers. One was a big 8pt, another a big 6pt, and the other was Mr. Ed. Haven't seen these bucks in a while. Mr. Ed now has a small G-4 on his left side making him a 9pt this year. One of the younger bucks was Sticker and the other was ...

I had this going on another site but it was "suddenly deleted" . I know the mods on this site will keep it safe so I'm staring over from here!

I've been getting a few decent bucks on my cameras this year and one 2 year old that would make Ashley a great first deer with her bow. He is an 8 pointer I call Mr. Perfecto cause he has a very symmetrical rack. I have gotten a lot of pictures of him over the last month or so at all hours of the day, so I'm pretty sure he makes his ...

Well it is time to start this over. Well this will be my 3rd year hunting a 700 acre farm in central, IL. Had some fantastic encounters last year with some true slobs and now I am on my quest to whack one of them. I really have my eye out for 2 different bucks but there are plenty of shooters on this piece. One of the two is an absolute giant in which I can't even attempt to describe the size of this beast. The other was a 12pt beutiful typical. Here is a picture of the 700. Of course Blue=ponds/creek; ...

Well I figured I would try and keep everyone up to date with my season. I will be taking my camera with me on every hunt. Here are some pictures from opening morning here in PA. I arrived at my stand an hour before first light. I actually hunted out of my climber this morning, I wasn't even sure where I was going to go until I started walking in. I ended up setting up right in the middle of a flock of turkeys! Here is one on the roost.

Here is a picture from the stand of the area that I ...

Well it's 3:30amI've read all the post and figure I might as well start a daily journal so Barb and Rick have something else to read when they are up at this hour.

9-19-09 The weather was as perfict as it gets. The low this morning was 40 the high this afternoon was upper 60s. The maple leaves are going full bore into color change and I have to work on my boss's cabin. Back in the middle of August they asked If I could screen their porch in which includes building a roof over it along with ...

Well, aside of working dang near every day, in my spare time I've been building a trailer to haul my 4 wheeler and hunting gear on. I always have some sort of little garage project going, be it a bbq pit for someone, or just little odds and ends people bring over that they want welded on or modified. I've taken a few pictures along the way as it progresses. Here they are more or less in order from start to the present time. I'll add new pics as I get further along.[img][/img]

Gonna start this with some work. We had just finished doing another concrete job at the house, and this past week I had to set 6 out of 8 beams for our pavillion. Then its time for the rest of it shortly. The Powerplant is looking good, could be a bit thicker but when we have only been getting hard rains and not slow soakers, well you take what you can. The winter wheat is getting cut so by next week my stuff will be in the field. I still have 3 more plots to put in out in the field by the " ...
