I went on a little drive to check some gravel roads to see how many gun hunter's where in the area, I come up a big ole hen standing about 10 feet off the road, - now there is a truck with a young child in it parked about 20 yards away- and I thought it was strange this hen was not moving - it acted like it had no idea I was stopped watching it

I went on down the road and came back- and it still had not moved- so I stopped and looked at it a little more and it seem's like it was blind

Started my way in along a ditch that runs through the property with an idea of where I wanted to go. Found my tree and got my spot ready and sat down and NOPE I had to drop a DUFER first (DAMN TIM HORTONS COFFEE) so ventured 15 yrds away and did my deed and the hunt was on.

Didn't know what to expect but the birds started to yelp and cluck within a 100 yrds or so from me, so yelped back with a response back at me.

Well, set out this year in the first season in Iowa to get my wife her first turkey. She got it done this year!! Not only that, she was five months pregnant with our first child!

I called in 4 toms, and 2 of them broke off to strut on the ridge in front of us. One came strutting in and she let him have it at 16 yards. Then his buddy decided to come up and whoop up on him while he was down. She had a blast, and I think she is a hooked turkey hunter now.

This video is short, but this bird was in the field on and off for about 20 mins then he disappeared and all of a sudden me, IL Arrow Flinger, and another buddy were talking and heard what sounded like a tom spitting and drumming, sure enough he popped out about 20 yards from out ground blind! It was a fun morning with some buddies!

The weekend of May 17th my wife and I spent our anniversary in an old log cabin built sometime back in the 1800's, right outside of Fredericksburg, Tx over in the hill country. On Sat. morning I got up around 6 or so and went outside on the front porch and thought I was hearing things. I heard it again....it was a humongous tom with probably an 11" if not 12" beard off to the left of the house in a newly ...

The fact that I did not return your calls is that I did not like what you were saying.

Where did you learn to talk turkey?

A couple times you almost had me convinced by stating out “Hey, big boy come see what I have for you”. Pretty seductive tone too. But then I heard a screeching noise that sounded like “I’ve got a nice broad or broadhead ...

This had to be the worse spring turkey season I have ever had. I only had a chance to get a few times, either because of work or the terrible weather conditions we had. But there was some light at the dismal tunnel. I went over to Insane Cowboys house and we walked some property that is pretty much land locked with his. It seems every turn we made we were coming up on some massive deer runs thru some nasty thickets. So maybe we stumbled on a few honey holes for this up coming deer season. And ...

I will also be using my Montana decoys as well. To me this is one deadly combo that can't be beat. For all those Thunder Chickens out there watch out here I come !
