Getting ready !!

I just got myself and the kids hunting licenses the other day and I'm already looking forward to the up and coming bear season with the bow !! The one area I hunt has had 19 different bears roaming the last few weeks. Last year we hiked over 20 miles in 2 days searching, but came home empty. I don't really care how I shoot one, but in Pa. its already extremely hard to get a bear and doing it with the bow just makes it that much better.

AWESOME NEWS !! I just found out today that Scarnose lives !! He isn't quite the bear he used to be, he lost some wieght but this bear goes back a long time and there are many people in that area and it seems they all have a story about him. The bad part is he is OLD and knows his area very well, of course he does or he would have been shot years ago. Then we also heard of another bear, only around the 250 pound range but this bear has a white patch on his chest that is shaped like a perfect ...

East Texas Bears

ask any game warden and they will tell you that we dont have bears in East Texas. Well boys and girls I tell ya we do. I have seen only one but it was a bear no doubt. My father has seen a couple and I have a few friends who have spotted them as well. You see we live just across the river from Louisiana and the Louisiana DNR has been restocking the Louisiana black Bear. So its a no brainer to me. Bears will follow the food source wherever it takes them.
