I'm going with Pj on the tag deal. Pa.'s tags were always shiny and sometimes in a pic all you could see was a glare. So I would write down my info, name, date and tag # , lay that beside the original tag and snap a pic. Of course I think the original tag should been shown on the deer. This year should also be interesting, Pa. changed thier tags and I had to go thru 5 different pens to get our info wrote on it to send for doe tags !!

Just a question regarding the spread measure pic. Most everywhere I go I'll be hunting alone but I figure I can get someone to take a field pic, or as bad as it is, a picture with the deer in the truck on my way out. What I don't know is if I'll have a tape or a measuring devise with me then. If it is OBVIOUS that the pics are of the same deer would you consider a spread measurement from a caped skull or taxidermist ready head? In short there would be THREE pics. 1) Field pic of hunter and deer, 2) tag pic, and 3) spread measure from rack taken after return home.

Not a problem on getting a spread pic when you get back home.

Shot a small buck opener of our gun hunt but guess I can't enter it.
Dad cut it up a day early so all I have is pics of me and the head with hide attached and tagged.
The plan was to get some pics just before I cut it up, because I didn't get any in the field.
Still have 1 tag that should have went on about a 140" last weekend but I blew it and shot under him.
Holding out for something decent right now or a mature doe.

Hey Craig as long as you have the tag, rack and inside spread that would be fine. Field pic is not a big must have.

I'm doing my best to keep the scoreboard up to date AND the Entry Pics on the Portal up to date. I'm not hearing anything from anyone, so I'm hoping that means that I've got it all covered. If I'm missing someone, or some points somewhere, please speak up! Smile
