long sleepless night

Post  cnebuks on Wed Sep 24, 2014 10:06 pm

Shot this biggest buck of my hunting life thus far. Right before dark.  Couldn't find any blood and didn't find my arrow will be taking up the trail first thing in the morning. The shit was a little high but pretty confident I got atleast one lung and the arrow drilled into the opposite shoulder. Wish me luck I'll keep you posted

Quick update spent most of the day looking for him. Found good blood, but now I know i didn't hit him as good as i thought. We trailed him throught 3 neighboring properties and lost the trail when he circled back and we couldn't find where he branched off the trail again. In the 3/4 mile we trailed him he never lied down and didn't find the arrow. I left a note at the neighbors cabin letting them know what's going on and i hope they call me if they come up this weekend. I asked them to take me back in if they're willing sice they would have a better idea where he might have bedded down. I never had any issues with them so i hope their classy about things like this.
I put all my camera's out today and put shell corn out in hopes of seeing him alive and well.

Take care, Jason

So   Sorry  you did not find him   Jason, Hopefully  he is fine and   you  can get another shot at him. Larry hit one year's back and only got one lung but we did end up finding it  3 day's later.
