Still Droppin?

Post  kyhunter123 on Wed Oct 22, 2014 8:35 pm

While hunting this last week or so. Iv noticed at my favorite stand. There are still a couple oaks around dropping acorns. And not just one or 2 every once in a while. I'm talkin raining them. Every deer that comes through there goes to the same tree's. Do they usually drop this late? I thought they were usually done a couple weeks ago.

I'm just guessing at this but are they by chance red oaks? They drop weeks later than the white oak.

Red oaks were raining and the ground was covered on my trip to the farm Monday... I would venture to say it was reds.
