Our new chessie (update)

Post  soil on Thu Nov 20, 2014 8:48 pm

as you might remember, our little dog got hit on the road a few weeks ago.  we were in the market for a new black lab puppy, but couldn't pass at the chance for a FREE chesepeake bay retriever.  as usual, the girls each had a hand in naming the new little girl, so........meet Princess Rosey!

That has to be the 1st black one I have ever saw. Looks like the girls will have that pup spoiled in no time !!! Just a piece of advice , have a lot of towels ready if you don't want water all over Very Happy !! Those dogs are worse than labs , if they see water they are in it !!

just a couple updated pics of Rosey.  Rick, i thought i had replied to this a while back, but i guess i didn't!  she isn't full chessie.  her mom is, but her dad is some kind of blue heeler/collie mix.  there were 3 litter mates that looked just like the mom with the wiry brown hair but we liked the little black and white oddball!  Very Happy

Have you trained him yet to find  shed's????
He is  a cutie, I thought at  first when I saw the photo of him and your  daughter they were on a run to  pick up  a shed  in that field

she's got a few sheds in the pen for chew toys and she is constantly throwing them around.  i'm pretty sure thats how she got poked by the eye.  it is close to healed up now, but that's the only sharp thing she's been around is tines on antlers.  she's almost 4 months old.  i'm going to try my best to get her after some sheds this spring.  (just got my first half rack when i checked cams yesterday)  we were checking a camera in that pic where they were running in the field.

Beauty...my good friends have always had Chessies'. I have yet to see a dog breed that love water more than they do. Icy water does not seem to bother them. They have to be careful as the live on a lake an the dogs venture on thin once a break through which makes for a challenge getting them out!

Aw, that's just so cute! Every puppy should have a couple kids to grow up with.
