Mathews No-Cam

Post  shedder on Mon Jan 05, 2015 11:41 am

Has anyone seen one, shot one, thought about the concept of a pair a 80's idle wheels back on todays bows?
It makes me wonder if this is truly a no-cam bow with idler wheels or simply masked version of my BowTech?
Truly cam-less would mean there would be no let off benefit I assume?

The concept makes me wonder about a drawability for someone on the edge of not being able to shoot anymore.
Has anyone shot one yet?  I wonder if the lack of a wall would be a killer or a blessing for old tired arms?

It's not truly a no cam. I would assume they aren't nearly as aggressive as most cams but they appear more oval shaped in the pictures I have seen of them and to get 330 ibo they only have 65 percent let off. I've heard they are rediculously smooth and quiet and dead in the hand but I don't have anywhere around here to shoot one. I would think if they were less aggressive it would be better on the shoulders and less let off would be easier to let down

I know a  few guy's that have them( Of course they are  guy's that have  Mathew's as a sponsor) they said they love them,
They had one at the local  Gamemaster last week, but  neither Larry or I even bothered to   pick it up to look at it Wink
We are happy with our  Hoyt's Laughing
Maybe  Willy will  buy one, this year- Wink I would trust his review's

Have not see a price.  I take it by your comments we're looking at $1,500?!
I liked my $300 Magna tec...never should have traded that in for my Bowtech.

I had an Indian tracker compound back in the day with round wheels and I believe my old bear whitetail hunter had round wheels also. Only difference is I think I payed $100 each for those bows.
