Damnn snow!!

Post  BuckslayerNY13 on Sat Feb 07, 2015 2:50 pm

All I wanna do is get out there and do some shed hunting. I don't see that happening with the 18 inches we already have plus this big storm coming Sunday night. Gonna be a long winter

I keep looking at our pool fence, all 6 or so inches of it.  I'm so ready to put the snow shoes on for a shed hunt but it's probably going to be for not.

I feel your pain Bucky, I know we don't have as much as you do but we still have too much on the ground. We did get a little melt over the weekend but I think that's going to be short lived. We are to be heading back below zero again by this weekend with a few little snowy days mixed in.

Feeling your pain, we still have at least 2.5 feet on the ground and a few more inches coming in a few days.

I'm visiting my brother in Houston this week, it was 82 yesterday!  Not as warm today but I got sunburn fishing while we fished for redfish and speckled trout.  Only one small redfish, we did catch 15 speckled trout and one flounder though!
My wife reported that we had fresh snow and ice at home... She might have to learn how to use the shovel before I get home!

We've gotten hammered this year that's for sure. Haven't seen temps above 30 for quite some time (mostly single digits) and I don't even know how much snow we've gotten in the last month. This all being said I can't complain after how bad NY got smashed earlier this year with that one storm. It's just a good old fashioned winter in the northeast if you ask me! The fish don't seem to mind the cold...

Sorry to hear about all the snow!  We got about 4"last weekend but I still think we are going to get out looking again this weekend, hopefully can still see some tines sticking out. Great looking trout!
