The Franz buck

Saw, that  the taxidermist posted some photo's of  the mount , so   just thought I would  share them.





 It will be on display at the  Iowa  Deer classic  also

I personally would of  loved to seen  Steve's  mount work done on  this deer Wink
  He is a beauty forsure

x2. They did a great job but I think the form looks kind of thin in the face compared to how the deer looked on video. IMO It may just be the photo angle though.

Awesome buck for sure.  As for the mount, I'm a little surprised he left that little scuff of hair stuck up on the back of it's neck.

Adam, The buck has a mane. I don't know if it was that pronounced when alive but they do stick up. I put Holly's buck together and it has one as well.

If it were more uniform I would agree but it just looks odd to me in those pics.

Okay, just watched the video again and it does look like he's got that scuff of hair sticking up there so I stand corrected. He's a giant for sure!

Pretty sure that's a joe Meder form, overall the mount looks very good.  I concur with the buck having a mane too!    Barb, who did the mount?

What part of Iowa was this killed? 
Remember Sid's buck down near Decatur Co Iowa maybe 2009?
Have similarities.
