All I can say is that those deer must be healthy. Just curious Barb, When did he shed last year?

Frustrating as heck that they are holding so long, but I agree its a good sign they are real healthy deer. Get ready Barb, they are all going to drop at once all of a sudden I bet!

Wink  I am watching him  right now out the side window in the   bean plot, I was hoping the  quad ride I took at  3:00pm today would get him moving   and  close to the house by dark, watching  right at  20 deer,  so far   only  5 are shed bucks

Funny, I  made it up to the top brassica camera, and on 3/2  brutus was up there   still  chasing     doe's around, Maybe just maybe  he will shed both side's soon  in one of his few  favored bedding area, Wink Alex is coming over next week to  shed hunt with me , but  still  have  3 area's  I  will not  even walk now until the  end of the month

Well, regardless of shedding....it must be very good to see him!  He's a beauty (said with a Steve Irwin accent!).  Every deer in my little area has been without headgear since early Feb.  I'm surprised to hear so many are holding on up north Rick!  I'm thankful for the info though, had been considering a one day run to check some cams and look around the local bedding areas.  I'll hold off another few weeks.

10" of snow here yesterday have the deer packed in the yard feeder.  A new high count of 31 deer at 3:45 today.  A thaw is needed soon cause I'm running out of feed money!

Not sure about the mountain roads just yet Chuk !! I went up thru Allenwood and up Gap road. When I got to the point I usually turn left and head up the mountain towards I-80 , I stopped. Looked like 8 inches of packed ice. Good thing is thie coming week we are supposed to get into the high 30's and maybe even mid 40's a couple of days. That should help get some of the ice of the roads, its the one thing I hate about snowmobiles !!! They pack the roads down so hard and then it turns to ice.
