I hate seeing that , sad to say but he is yote and cat bait. It sure looks like his right rear hip is busted by the way his hair is standing. Maybe its just road rash puffing the hair up but I doubt it. But you just never know. I had a small 10 by the house a few years back that was missing one leg right above the knee. He got shot the next year across the road but went from a 100-110 inch 10 to a small 8 that maybe went 65.

Yeah you never know about them, they can survive unbelievable things. Im with Rick it looks like he is busted up in his back and hip. Back leg injuries are tough on them though.

Well that sucks but if the coyotes are going to take one out, that would be a good one to go.

You might remember that I had small buck with a broken leg in Dec. '13, it happen before the severe winter last year and the little guy survived the worst winter weather.  It was a bad compound fracture that appeared to never heal but he toughed it out and was still around until early this past fall. He stopped showing up this past fall, truly, deer have a toughness I can't even imagine!

Hate to see that. Hopefully he found an area to hide out and heal up but doesnt look good. Nature is cruel but they sure are tough critters!

??????????????, Ok  guy's  I finally found  this  poor little  bucks  carcass  , I can not  remember honestly if it was  friday or saturday, I honestly  thought   I would  find it  close by the house timber, but then  I  captured the   poor thing on a  camera  a little north, still alive, So  I   covered  that area  for  a couple of day's,
Ok  this    little thing  had only been dead  a day or so after  my first post on him,
When I found  his carcass,   there was no head, the only leg was the  leg that was  broken,  no meat or  hide to be found anywere in surrounding  area, Do you think  yote's or bobcats could of   devoured   him this fast, ???? I  have  been finding  one  very  large Cat track in another area of the creek that is way bigger then any  bobcat  track I have ever found, But  a few years back   yes   both Larry and I  saw a  black cougar in  the area.,,We don not   get to find many dead  deer, but never  have I found one  riped apart like this one, and the first thing that  freaked me out  was   the head was totally missing

coyotes could most defienitly have done it. As small as he was what wasnt eaten could have easily been taken back to a den.  I helped look for a mature buck a couple years ago, he was shot in the afternoon, we found him around noon the next day, all that was left was the flesh on the head. They had picked him clean. We could never find the hams of him, you could see hair where they had drug them off into the brush.

As many coyotes as you have they could have easily picked him clean that fast. But even if the coyotes where on him don't mean that the bobcats weren't as well. Along with hawks, eagles, crows, foxes, coons, and all the other critters you have.

Not a problem for any of the critters to have him gone that quickly.
