I just stuck out my first two cams this morning. It will be a few weeks until I get back to them. Jacob, It looks like that last one is going to have a split brow or two.

I put three cameras out this weekend. Im going to bet now that when I check them in a couple weeks I have a few bloomers jocolor
We cut the alfalfa yesterday so it may take a while to get them back on it, I thought. we pulled the swather off the field around 5 pm yesterday. For the heck of it I went down to my over look spot just to see about an hour before dark and there were already 10 deer on the field. 8 I could tell were bucks. Cant wait to check the cameras in a few weeks

Checked my camera today and one picture has me second guessing a lot from last season. Of course these big games take sucky pics and its hard to tell a whole lot. These were the only good bucks so far and I'm pretty sure I know who they are from last season but need to let them develop a little more before I'm certain.

This last guy only gave me one picture and I really wish I had more. I'm almost convinced it is the buck I shot last year but I thought he would've had a jacked up side from the wound last year. If I get some broadside pics I should be able to see a scar if it is him. I will definitely know for sure if I get any daylight pics. He had a lot more white on his legs than the others.

A little better this week. Other than one mineral hole being full of water all week and another camera being full of water. The one camera that is in of those spots you dont expect much, produced.

Jacob, that buck of yours looks like he might be wanting to sprout multiple brows on both sides!! We have 2 escaped murders running around the state and every time two people are seen in the woods 100 troopers show up and the whole area gets grounded to their rooms!

I'm wondering about these seals...I have a humidifier connected to our furnace and I've never had a problem but could these seals be drying out when they are brought in for the winter?  With the dry heat its causing them to dry out over the winter and malfunction when they are put back out???

Just a thought.  Over the winter we have to treat our swimming pool seals so they don't dry out. I may call Covert and ask if that would be their recommendation.

Fantastic Barb!  Boy he sure seemed aware of the camera. He is off to a great start. Those brows are going to be killer this year.

Willy  I also  bet he will be sporting  double split  G2's this year, The more  I look at that  other  side of him I have from last  year it is    identical to the  side  I  have of him the year  prior to last year  new split G-2 LOl You said  he was going to  gain another point this   next season,  I am betting my life on    double  split G-2's this year  and he is going to look  flipping  awesome  hanging  next to splitbrows next   YEAR Smile Smile Smile As far as  camera's by all means  he will not  tolerate  to many  models and I  am very cautious  about  puttin the ones I do out trying to find him this early

Checked the card today and had more pictures of the buck I'm 90 percent sure was a guy I called low brows last year because he barely had brow tines. No better pictures of the wide one. Just one pic of him walking away and might have a pic of him with his head down but its just so hard to tell with bad pictures. I need to pull up some of those weeds next time I check the card to see if that will help.

Oh I feel like a stoop. Looking back and the buck in the first two pictures I posted is a completely different deer than the one I thought was low brows. The one I thought was low brows has his brows growing further up the beam. When I looked at the pics I just seen a wide deer with not much growth other than his beams and kept scrolling because I just assumed it was him. Hopefully they all hang around long enough to tell exactly who is who

pretty sure I know this guy, need another couple weeks to be sure.
Put out a few cameras this past weekend. Its so thick and lush this year it may be hard to get them all in front of the cameras without getting in the cover and it just isnt worth it. Heat turned on big time this past week, 100 degree days are here. If that keeps up it wont be long and they will be focused on the alfalfa, our farmer planted about 160 acres in Milo this year, that is always a magnet but it wont start to really draw till mid to late August.  It may be a slow summer on the cameras but I could not be happier about it. First year in a long time we are going into the summer with really great native forage. It should be interesting later this year.

Ok this  post might be  annoying,  A  bunch of  very short clip's ( and yes all these cam's are packed up and  going back Wink)

Now this is a  goof ball- I have no idea where he came from)

This   buck below   I have his sheds from last year, he is  tight  racked  but  looks like he  is  putting on some  nice growth this year,  His G4's  were just starting  last year(numbs)

Got some good pictures this week. But still havent seen the one deer iv been wanting to see. Its been 4 checks now. Maybe next week!

Over Bite is looking good...

New Buck..

Baby Toes... Well he might not have the little bitty tines that he did last year. Looks like he is just going to grow straight up this year.

The Split brow buck. I guess thats going to be his name this year lol.

The Sticker Buck... I guess thats going to be his name to....
