Well I just broke down and bought one

Post  Mountainman Vic on Wed Jul 08, 2015 5:30 am

I've been looking at climbing stands for a year now and finally settled on this X stand. It sounds like it takes some getting used to but I was sold on the light weight  because of the long hikes and bike rides into my hunting locations. I'll have to let you know how it works.

$300 sounds like a lot of cash for something that doesn't look very comfy. I also don't like the word , fiberglass . I like metal !! Your paying more for that than I did a full blown climber with sides , footrest and a full seat . I hope you like it

Well I got it for $225 but as for all those cushy extras you got, they add weight and the very reason I got this stand was for the weight of it.

I guess $225 isn't bad. I still like to be comfy and at 13.2 pounds there isn't much extra weight , that comes when I strap my backpack to it , that adds a few pounds Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy !!!

Payback time Razz
A TimberTall owner should never complain about another stands price! I know first hand as I own one myself!

Let that sink in a little bit!!

Vic that looks like a perfect stand to throw on your back and bike into some honey hole either in PA or KY!
I hope you have many years of awesome memories with it!!

I will never complain about the price , of course I never paid more than .... well lets just say not much more than Vic did Very Happy Very Happy !! I did pay around 300 for my summit though , but no way would I even think about taking that 23 pound monster anywhere in Cameron county !!! Well maybe in Vics backyard to hang on a tree for practice !!!
Vic I hope you like it but it doesn't look comfy in the pics , maybe it will be different when you get it . Hang that sucker up and take some pics when it gets there !!!
