fellow game camera users

Post  Dew Boyz Jr. on Sun Oct 17, 2010 7:38 pm

I am going to invest into getting another game camera. I want a camera that takes good pics and video and has good battery life and at a good price. So give me some advice on what cameras worked and hasn't worked. I would appreciate it very much.

Well I have had great pics off the Moultrie . Plus with Gander Mtn having them on sale again for 129, I might just go buy a few more. They are really the only one I have tried, just can't see spending the cash for a cudde and I have heard too many bad things about the wildlife innovation cameras.

Take it for what its worth, we have 32 cams, basically all makes and models. I am sold on the moultrie D-55 IR cams. Battery life seems to be good so far, and I have been running 6 of the IR's and 6 of the flashes. I have 2 of them set on video mode, and the video's are darn good.

On top of that, moultrie has taken good care of us as well. Had an old I-60 shoot the craps on us, sent it to moutrie, they sent us their new IS45 cam, which is unbelievable camera. They run around 250 bucks a camera, but the D-55's run about 100 bucks a camera.

I love the bushnell trophy cams. The battery life is unbelievable. One of them is on the same set of lithium aa batteries for over a yr now (probably 6 months in the field). They take pretty good pics and are pretty quick.

I love the bushnell and Colvert 's
The battery life on both of these little camera's are by far the best out of any other camera's we have ran-
Kyle I don't think there is a camera out there that someone has not had issue's with. Wink

I really like the Coverts/Scoutguards/Bushnell Trophycams myself. Awesome battery life, compact size, great trigger speed and decent IR capabilities. You'll never get IR pics as nice as flash cameras at night but if you're looking for a great little IR camera at around $200 those are what I would recommend.

Covert cam. I have had one for a month and it takes wonderful pics. It was recommended by a guy I occasionally hunt with. He swears and attests to great battery life.

I love my Moultries, but I'm very impressed with the Bushnell I bought this spring 1,000's of pics and still on the same 8 AA batteries I put in it the day I bought it and can't beat the size.

put my vote in for Moultrie or Bushnell trophy cam, but also remember what Barb said there's not a camera out there that hasn't had issue at least by yr 3

I have a Cuddeback Capture. I still think they are the best as far as picture quality goes. I'm not overly impressed with the battery life, but it is worth it to me to get nice clear pics!
