I know alot of you dont slug hunt, but here in Ohio it is kind of a tradition....just curious who does and what do they use...I use a Remington 870, 12 ga...Winchester Sabots slugs....they have done me well over the years....

I have the exact setup as you, I was thinking of switching to the Savage bolt action 20 ga next yr.

I havn't shot anything with it in years and years but I have a big ugly black bolt action Mossberg that puts a Winchester sabot right where you point it. Super acurate gun, just a little bulky and my kid's nerf guns have better triggers.

I have a Mossberg 835 that I shoot lightfield slugs out of...it works really well, but my Remington 870 shoots remington copper solids out of it like a dream at 150 yards

for the last forever I hve used a remington 870 smooth bore with remington slugger. Not a very fancy rig but it has gotten the job done on alot of deer. I am researching the Savage 220f 20 gauge with reminton accutip sabots. It its said to shoot 3inch and under groups at 150 - 200 yards with knock down power. Just need to figure out the best scope for the package.
