I just heard about this, this morning, amazing that a world class elk was in MN. It's a once in a life time license with a very limited number given each yr. and now after this good luck on drawing a MN elk tag

A sad story indeed. It is amazing how many giants have fallen to something other than a predator. Hole in the Horn rings a bell to me.
