IL Random Daily Draw

Has anyone had any luck getting in the Illinois Random Daily Drawing entry? I am thinking about putting in for a 4th or 5th season and was wondering what the chances are of getting a tag?

The counties I am looking for have close to 200 tags between the two seasons so just curious what my chances are... I gotta get back out there!

It's guaranteed if they have tags left Mike, it's not really a lottery anymore. The only time it's actually a "lottery" is the first drawing they do after the cutoff... after that they do it every day up until a certain amount of time before that season closes. All the tags that are left are fair game. You put in for a tag that is left you'll be drawn and mailed that tag within a week or two, it's that simple. The only thing I would worry about for a 4th season is getting it in time to hunt. I'd say you'd be fine for 5th season though for sure.

Good deal Pj, cause even though we still have Pike tags, was hoping to get another tag for both Larry and I for the Adams ground

Barb, I can't remember how many other tags you had already but remember you can only get 3 total. I'm not sure if your land owners tag counts in that number or not... but I know it's 3 total for the drawings.

put both in for madison and jersey... Jersey as my first pick and madison for dad's..

Madison Doesnt have any tags left... Hopefully you guys can get a Jersey tag... I think 5th season had the most tags left...

I wanna put in for another tag, but I don't really have any places to hunt with a good turkey population besides Fosterburg... Might try a Greene Co. tag and hit up that farm, but who knows...

Your system sounds like a huge pain. Here in MO we just buy tags over the counter and kill birds at any point during legal hours between date A and date B. Just curious what the reasoning is behind the complicated system?

I am originally from Indiana and it was simple over the counter as it is in MO but IL is a complete pain in the arse. From what I can tell it is all about $$$ and a bunch of idiots making the rules and regulations. Heck the deadline for our first deer firearm lottery ends on April 29th.
