Unexpected Visitors!

Post  Godfather on Sat Sep 10, 2011 10:13 am

I have been using the apple trees to get my most recent pics. I always pick up whatever has fallen to the ground and make a little pile in front of the camera. I've been getting some nice pics too. So we went out to check the camera again last night and it was on the tree sideways. I figured a coon probably had bumped it. It looks like I was wrong. I guess bears like apples too!!. This pic was taken about an hour and a half after we switched the cards.

Here are what the rest of my pics looked like after this first pic.

Its kind of funny too that every time I take the little man out with me to check the camera he asks if we are going to see any bears. I always tell him "no, we won't see any bears, don't worry about them." From the looks of things we might have to keep a closer eye out for them. With so many apples in this area they might be sticking around for an easy meal.

Jason - I have no plans to hunt bear this fall. I just won't have the time to do it. Maybe next year though. Plus it looks to me like these are all little ones. I think mama knocked the camera around.

Barb - I guess I should address the little man by his name. Blake had a puzzled look on his face when I showed him the pic. He said "where did that picture come from? Then he ran downstairs and got mom so she could see the picture. I know the next time we go out he is going to be asking a million questions about the bears.

Mick - This area is about 10 miles from where I live, although this is only a couple hundred yards from the landowners house. This is the third year in a row that I have gotten a bear picture on the camera in this same general area, plus I had a close encounter during archery season a few years back in the same area. So I think I have found a good travel area for them.
